Love Stephen & Madelynn as #lochnerkickslymphoma

The day after celebrating their first wedding anniversary, Stephen began chemo and his fight against Hodgkins Lymphoma.  Due to COVID, he has had to endure almost every appointment, chemo and procedure without my daughter, Madelynn, by his side. They have managed to keep their heads above water financially thus far due to both of them continuing to work and the fact that they started out their marriage with no debt whatsoever. 

Despite their best efforts, doing it on their own just became impossible.  The upcoming treatments and stem cell transplant in the next 3 months will not be covered by their insurance in the same way as previous treatments. Having to travel to Seattle and stay there for 10+ weeks will be a huge expense in addition to the treatment itself.  (Stephen will need Madelynn there to be his caregiver as this process involves multiple  in and outpatient treatments.)

I’ve heard for months from so many people who wish to help them financially. Up until now, they really thought they could do it on their own. But seeing Stephen’s cancer fight back harder and them facing an uncertain future ahead, they have allowed me to set up this fund for those who may wish to bless and encourage them by helping with their expenses as he fights this battle.

We know God provides in miraculous ways - and we can’t wait to see who will come alongside them in this journey as #lochnerkickslymphoma! 

We know everyone who desires to help isn’t able to give financially, but could you please PRAY for them and perhaps SHARE their story?  There is a Caring Bridge site (Stephen Lochner) that we will update to keep everyone up to date on their journey. For now, we are setting the goal on the low end, planning for everything to go smoothly and that they won’t have to miss more than 10 weeks without work and that the stem cell transplant will be successful on the first try.  Should we exceed this goal, we will thank God in advance for provision we may not even know they need just yet!
