About the cause
The Friendly Dog Club in Barton-on-Sea, Hampshire, England have their own premises from where they help owners to train their dogs to a high standard in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere.
The club would like to buy a defibrillator for use by the community hopefully locating it somewhere close to the club premises near to or on Long Meadow.
Being someone who has attended the club for many years and who values the help and support they've given me and my pets, I'd like to help to raise some funds towards this new equipment. The club estimates around £2000 being needed.About me
Feeling unfit and not doing any regular exercise, in March 2018 I took up the NHS/BBC Get Active Couch To 5K programme and am now regularly running 5K. I love getting out and running! As a new challenge for summer 2019, I've set myself the goal of taking part in the 10K event during the Bournemouth Marathon weekend in October 2019 and felt that this was a good way to ask people to sponsor me towards the defibrillator for The Friendly Dog Club.
