Local Family Loses Home to Devastating Fire

Donation protected
The evening of March, 21 2020 my parents, Walter Hapeman and Valerie Boulais-Hapeman, local residents of Bombay NY, lost their home to an unexpected house fire. Amazingly they escaped unharmed.  Their house, as well as all of their possessions were destroyed.  Unfortunately, there is no insurance to help recover from their loss.

The house cannot be salvaged and will need to be completely rebuilt.  Thankfully no one was injured in the fire. Valerie and Walter are local business owners and have operated Val’s Country Creations for almost 15 years.  Two greenhouses full of recently planted flowers and vegetables were also lost in the fire.

I am reaching out to the community to ask for help in any way possible. Victims of fires face tremendous costs & I hope this fund will help alleviate some of the burden my family faces.

We are simply asking for help to get them back on their feet.  Also, we ask that you please keep our parents in your continued prayers.

If you feel moved to donate, by all means please do and we thank you... but please don't feel like you have to... We know a lot of people are going through a lot of things. The amount of people asking how to help is a testament to all the good that my parents have done for people over the years
