Surviving Cancer - Kathleen Shatley
On September 19th, 2014 my life changed forever. On that day, I went for a MRI and got rushed to the hospital in Philadelphia because I had cancer in my brain. That following Monday, I had brain surgery which removed a large mass but there were other cancer spots that were addressed by Gamma knife. Diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, the brain is not where the cancer originated. It originated in the lungs.
I am in between Chemotherapy treatment for the lungs because the Taxil chemo is not as effective as it was a few months ago and the cancer has gotten slightly larger (in three areas). So within a month, I will try a different chemo, Gemzar with better success I hope.
During this time, I am unable to work. My funds are running out and I do not want to lose my house or my car. I have medical bills that are piling up.
Can you help? Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to share and pass this on to family and friends.
