My mother has always been my rock. She has helped/supported me through good times and bad. Even when she didn't have it, she is always helping with the grandkids. I had children at a young age, the father wasn't in the picture, and my mother was the one who stepped up and helped me take care of them. Even when she definitely didn't have to! She's always believed in me in whatever ventures I set out to do! She accepted my husband into our family, without judgement, and has been there for him just as much as myself. I don't know what we would do without her!
Her boyfriend, Bill, was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Last night they found two large masses, via endoscopy, that are deemed cancerous. They are talking surgery, but will have to conduct chemotherapy first before they can do any surgery. As it stands, pancreatic cancer is terminal for everyone. The doctors have given him 3-6 months to live! My mother has been with this man for almost 10 years and doesn't know what will happen without him. They are talking about getting married before anything serious happens. That way, when and if he does pass, she will have some help from his social security/widows pension.
My mother is someone who is definitely NOT self serving and has ALWAYS given to others. She never asks for anything in return and we have definitely never asked for a handout. She might be a little upset that I set this up for her, but she deserves it. She deserves to know that she will be okay if something shall happen to him. Like I said, my mother has done so much for others, and it would be greatly appreciated if you would help give back to my mother. I'm hoping everything will be okay, but he does not have any life insurance and she will have to pay for his funeral expenses/hospital bills, out of pocket, and this money will help with what she needs.
