The Jackson's Looking for Work Fund

My name's Lisa and I've been out of work since June of this year. I've been looking for a job since before my last one ended.  It was a contract job so I knew I'd have to find something else and my husband and I planned as best we could for that. But as happens in life, you can save and plan as much as you want. I have applied for hundreds of jobs and am still looking. The few interviews and nibbles I've had haven't panned out and now we are in a tight spot. To complicate matters, I do have a visual impairment that limits the type of work I can do. We've used up all our savings, had to have our car worked on three times, had numerous unexpected college costs with our kids and even though my husband is working, we are in debt and so far behind that I estimate we have until Christmas before we're homeless. We just need to be able to pay our rent and bills and have grocery money until I can find work. So, I'm reaching out in good faith to our friends, family and any goodhearted people out there to help us so I can focus more on applications and interviews than how to keep the electricity on for one more month.
