Holiday Party for the homeless 2017

Donation protected
'Tis the Season!!

The season of sharing love, joy, happiness with those that are homeless.

As some of you know, every year my son Nico and I together with great group of volunteers, put together a nice holiday dinner for hundreds of homeless in the Oakland and SF Bay Area. We are so grateful, that this event has brought so much happiness and joy to many homeless people, that cannot have a nice warm meal during the holidays. Not only we give them a gala style dinner, we also provide them with blankets, socks, winter hats, rain ponchos, toiletries supplies and much more.

This is our fourth year doing this event, and it has been very rewarding to see how many people have come forward wanting to be part of this event. Last year, thanks to some generous donations, we served and provided bags to 300 people in Oakland, and donated another 80 bags to Glide Church in San Francisco.

Since many of you have graciously offered your help once again this year, I am writing to let you know that we are starting our initiatives and would appreciate any help you can provide. We could also use some helping hands serving food, and setting up the place where the event is taking place.

This year we are still planning to serve 300 people again, and also provide goody bags for them.

Here is the list of items that we could use:
 (Due Date: Friday Dec 1st, 2017)

* 300 Blankets
* 600 Socks (Man and Women)
* 300 Winter Hats (Man and Women)
* 300 Rain Ponchos
* 300 of each (Tooth paste, tooth brushes, soaps, hands sanitizer, toilet paper)
* Toys
* Kids books
* Non expired Dry food (Cereal, nuts, bread, chips, crackers, etc)
* Non expired Canned food (Chili, soups, salsa, peanut butter, tuna, etc)

Please let me know what type of donation you would like to provide so I can continue updating the numbers needed as people reply. If you want to provide funds this is the best place to do so and we can get the items listed above as well.

The event is taking place on December 15, 2017 at 5:30PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Oakland 2619 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94612

Thank you so much for your kindness, and for helping us bring happiness and joy to those that are less fortunate.

Many blessings to you and your loved ones during this Holiday Season.
