Liz's Cancer Fighting

Our beloved mom/grandma/sister/aunt Liz was diagnosed this week with Stage IV colon cancer. This came as a total shock to her and everyone who knows and loves her. Our first reaction was to research which cancer center can give her the best shot at beating the cancer. While she has started seeing a wonderful oncologist at Froedtert, we want to make sure she is receiving the best possible care. We narrowed down our options until we were left with MD Anderson of Houston, Texas,  https://www.mdanderson.org/publications/conquest/summer-2017/second-opinions-and-second-chances.html   which seems to have the most innovative approaches to treating and even curing colon cancers. We've also read many uplifting survivor stories from people who were patients there.
  Liz would like to fly to Houston for a second opinion. She will be bringing her youngest daughter along as a companion and caretaker. We need to raise money for their airfare, housing and food while they stay in Houston. Because she was the sole income provider and will be unable to work again until she's in remission, she will also need help paying her mortgage payment and household bills.
Liz has five kids and eight grand children. Everyone who knows her knows what a huge heart and caring spirit she has. This is her turn to be cared for.
