Livongo Member Fund Campaign

Livongo’s mission is to empower all people with chronic conditions to live healthier and happier lives. In support of this mission, for Holiday 2016, Livongo had its first Member Fund Campaign- it was a huge success!
The Member Campaign is an opportunity for Livongo to help a group of our members that may be facing particular financial hardship and could especially benefit from our extra support around the Holiday times. This campaign supports our mission by empowering all people, even those that are going through financial hardship.
Together, we raised nearly $5k and provided $200 gift cards to nearly 20+ coach-identified members.
Here are two highlights from members that benefited from YOUR EFFORTS in 2016:
“This member lives alone, and has no family members close to her. With a low income and lack of insurance or a car, she struggled to maintain a healthy lifestyle. She was on food stamps, waiting for Medicaid, in-between doctors, and had to use public transportation to make her doctor appointments. When she received the gift card, she said this was the only regalo (present) she got for Christmas. She used the gift card to buy furniture for her home so that she could comfortably have visitors over.”
“This member was on a government program that helped him pay for his insulin, but the program was coming to an end and his doctor informed him that in order to manage his condition, he would just have to take half of his normal dose. His endocrinologist helped out by giving him free insulin, but the endocrinologist had since moved away, leaving him on his own. When he received his gift, he wrote: “I did receive the gift card! I don't know who to thank but it choked me up as I'm already grateful for this fantastic benefit!!!! We are of moderate means and this condition is challenging to keep up with, thank you!””
As a quickly growing company, if everyone contributed $20, we could have $8,000 overnight to help our members thrive! Any donation, however big or small, will help support our members this holiday season.
