Livia Kay's NICU Journey

In her 28th week of pregnancy, Mama Leah began having some concerns and contractions and was sent for some testing, only to be told there were some complications that needed interventions. When interventions didn't work, Miss Livia Kay was brought into this world 11 weeks early via emergency c-section on 11/30/18 at 29w2d.

Livia is healthy and having no complications, but, due to her early arrival, has needed some help with learning to eat and tolerate all the things new life brings!

Throughout this whole ordeal, Leah has been off work, doing a lot of traveling, being away from her husband and step-daughters, healing from a c-section, and doing her best to stay strong as a NICU mama... as if this all isn't enough, Leah and Trent just learned that due to Livia's hospital stay going into 2019, they not only have to pay their high deductible and max out of pocket once, for 2018, but twice, for 2018 and 2019! Their social worker has looked into all options, and they do not qualify for any help or assistance.

This account is to hopefully help alleviate some of the financial stress a long NICU stay brings, as well as the medical bills that will begin rolling in soon. Please donate as little or as much as you can to help this wonderful family out!
