Liver/Kidney Transplant for Dex


Hi my name is Blair Ambe. I am starting this fundraiser for my brother who has been through a lot and will be going through so much more. All your prayers and assistance with funding for his medical expenses and procedures are very much appreciated. -
Dexter is currently 32 years old, born and raised here on Lāna’i City , Hawaii. He has a daughter who’s name is, Savanna Rae Ambe who just turned 5 years old and lives in Lodi, California with her mother.
Dexter has always had the passion for music.....vocals and instruments like drums,guitar, ukulele and keyboard. As he was little , he was always performing. From church, kids choir, talent show’s, school talent shows and other special events. Another passion he has is fishing/ throw net. From having the “Ulua fever” to knowing where all the best spots are.
If you know Dexter in person, you know he’s the kind of person who can always make you “buss laugh”.
He’s truly an entertainer on stage and off.
In 2015, Dexter was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease stage V . As of today he is still on the kidney transplant list and is currently receiving dialysis 3x a week.
He is still working full time at Pulama Lāna’i as a tire technician.
We recently just found out that they found a small tumor on his right kidney and his liver has poor function. Per his doctor’s they will need to perform a liver transplant before they can do anything about the tumor in his kidney. We have put donation buckets at our local stores and the gas station and will be doing some other fundraisers too, so look out for those to help with everything that Dex has been through/ will go through. We greatly appreciate every single penny that goes to this funding. Let’s do this! Keep Dex in all your prayers.
