Lucy Needs Knee Surgery Now!

In January of 2014 I rescued my best friend Lucy from PAWS shelter in South Carolina. Over the past 3 years Lucy has brought joy to hundreds of people and today she really needs our help, because this time, I alone can't save her.
Lucy was only 10-12 weeks old when she was rescued. She quickly developed growth problems that resulted in both her front legs being crooked like a question mark. Lucy's veterinarian said only surgery could help her, but I pleaded with him to put casts on both her front legs in hopes they would grow in straight. For two months I carried this tiny pup around with two orange casts, anytime it rained, I had to put little trash bags on her casts. Just like Forest Gump, she straightened up like an exclamation point!
For the past two years, Lucy has been battling an MPL (or ACL/CCL) tear that can only be solved with a $5,000 surgery. I hoped that my company would be profitable enough for me to pay for Lucy's leg by the time her leg went but the situation has become dire too fast. She spends most of her days limping around now and hates to put weight on her back right leg. Her back right leg has lost more then 50% of its muscle mass and is very noticeably smaller than her back left leg. The veterinarian has indicated that most dogs at Lucy's stage will blow out their other leg, from over favoring it, within a year. Lucy's only hope is to get her the surgery.
We need to raise $4000 for the surgery, $1000 for veterinarian and medications plus an extra $300 to cover gofundme fees. All excess money will be donated to animal rescue shelters, just like the one Lucy came from.
