Update Day 3 at Sick Kids:
Sophie has had a monitor placed inside on her skull to help keep track of the swelling  and damaged areas of her brain. Her laceration on her liver will heal itself over time but will have to be careful. She is still sedated as they are trying to keep her brain activity to a minimal so it can heal. She was running a bit of a fever today so they have her comfy in a cooling blanket with some ice packs. All in all she is resting and getting the best possible care. She's fighting!

Still completely floored by all of the support this family has been receiving! We cannot thank you all enough! We appreciate you more than words can even express! #sophiestrong

Sophie Foley is a typical 4 year old kid. She is funny, spunky and full of energy. Yesterday at the Norwood Fair a tragedy happened and Sophie was struck by a truck while crossing the road with multiple children and adults. This was a needless accident and it has left her at Sick Kids hospital with a fractured skull, extensive brain injuries, a laceration on her liver and her little body beaten and bruised. Her father having to hold his baby girls limp body as her heart stopped on impact, screaming for help while the driver drove away. If it wasn't for the angel nurses that came to their aid, little Sophie would not be able to receive the help she is right now. Dan, Natasha with their 3 children are a typical family and when tragedy strikes like it has no one is prepared. They have a very long journey ahead of them and I am asking for any help you can possibly give to make sure Natasha and Dan can stay up at Sick Kids to help their baby girl fight for her life! The last thing any parent wants is to worry about anything else other than their child during this terrible time.
The cost to stay up in Toronto and keep up with regular life expenses, driving back and forth from Toronto to care for the other two children is going to be astronomical.
As of right now Sophie is in surgery to try and repair some of the damage but it is unknown the extend of what they are dealing with until some of the swelling starts to dissipate and her body starts to heal.
Any help at all is appreciated and if you can't donate please share everywhere!
It takes a village so let's be their people!
