Little House Fire

On Tuesday, December first our home caught fire.  Doug and Cody were downstairs and didn't realize that the upstairs balcony and hallway were ablaze.  They both acted quickly.  Doug ran through the fire to rescue Mary from her room and Cody grabbed Shelby and got him downstairs and out to the vehicle.  Doug was able to get the dogs from the living room on his way out.  Doug has significant burning to his head, neck, ears, and one foot.  Mary has burning to her feet and lower back.  Both are healing well.  We have a place to live while our home is repaired and we are in the process of purchasing furniture and replacing things that have been destroyed.  We have had literally hundreds of people asking if we need financial help.   We are well insured and still have our salaries.  We do, however, owe a huge debt of gratitude to the Grundy County Rural Fire District.  Without their fast and very professional response we are quite certain that we would not have a home to return to at all and would be faced with the task of rebuilding.  So we are asking that anybody who would like to donate, please do so.  ALL proceeds will be donated to the Grundy County Rural Fire District.  We have set up this go fund me and we also have a savings account at Farmers Bank of Northern Missouri to be used for this purpose.  The savings account is in the name of Doug Little, fire fund.  We visited with Kenny Robert's and the proceeds will be used (with much appreciation) for training and equipment.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all who have reached out to us.  We love and appreciate every one of you.
