Lith-Amar Viciere Education Fund

This is a request for help in providing a college education for a very deserving young lady, Lith-Amar Viciere. Lith-Amar plans to attend Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas for the fall semester, 2020. She is an outstanding young lady from Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She is the daughter of Ketty and Martial Viciere who have served as co-directors of the Sonlight Children’s Home in Haiti. This home is overseen by the elders of the Estes church of Christ in Henderson, Tennessee.
Lith-Amar is twenty years old and graduated from high school with honors. She speaks three languages, Haitian Creole, French, and English. She has been a great worker in the church at LaTremblay, Haiti. She has worked with the youth group helping them to study the Bible, speak in front of others, and pray. She has worked with after school and summer programs in her community of Santo. Lith-Amar has helped during medical campaigns with groups from the USA. She truly had a heart for helping others. She has demonstrated a desire to grow as a Christian woman. Lith-Amar has been a leader among her peers and never backs down from a challenge.
Lith-Amar plans to become a nurse and would like to use her education to help the people of Haiti. She has worked hard to prepare herself for school and life in the USA. She has not taken this challenge lightly but has studied English and other subjects for more than three years and is now ready to make the move. Her parents are in full support of her moving to Searcy to attend Harding University. They do not ask for full support but only a helping hand. They have paid the $1,000 deposit and have saved more than $2,000 of the amount needed. The total amount for the first year of school is about $27,000. The school is offering some tuition and her parents are willing to sacrifice to send her to a Christian University. They have committed to a minimum of $500 per month. They are also looking to see how they can help even more.
If you can help with any amount it will be greatly appreciated. Helping Lith-Amar attend a Christian University will also be helping her to provide healthcare for the people of Haiti, and perhaps many other places. Lith-Amar will continue to mature as a person and as a child of God, which will also build stronger congregations.
