Love for Lisa

Welcome family, friends and other kind souls.

This account was set up to help ease the financial burden of medical costs for Lisa Tisch.  Lisa was diagnosed with  Auto Immune Hepititis back in November 2005.   Basically her body started to stop recognizing her liver as her own and began to create antibodies and reject it.   Things were rough at first and she was evaluated by UW Madison Hospital to be placed on the transplant list.  However through medicine and prayer she was well enough to  not be added to the list at the time.  Then in 2009 the disease progressed to Cirrhois of the Liver.   Unfortunately this past fall, she started to get sick again and ended up in the hospital with liver failure.  She has been struggling to get her liver counts back down and although some small progress has been made, they continue to rise.   Her medical team decided at this point it was necessary that she be put on the transplant list as it was not going to get better on her own.  She was reevaluated  again in December 2017 and added  to the UW Madison transplant list in January 2018.  She was recently placed #3 on the list for a transplant for her blood type.  Although several live donors volunteered, Lisa's medical team said that her MELD score was too high to go with a live donor.  So as she waits, she continues to have doctors appointmetns, tests, drives to UW Madison, etc.  All expenses that were not forseen.  Although she probably shouldn't be working, she has been doing the best she can but after the transplant she will need roughly 3 months of to recover.    Therefore any financial donation, no matter how big or how small would be greatly appreciated.  If a financial donation is not feasable for you at this time, prayers and positivity are also acceptable.  Lisa also request that you keep the family of the donor in your prayers as well and wants everyone to consider signing up to be an organ donor.  She sends her love to all.
