In December 2017, just a few months after a clear mammogram, my sister Lisa (or Nash as she is known by her work family) was diagnosed with Stage 2B breast cancer. Lisa and her amazing husband Dave, their three kids (David, Lauren, and Brian) are fighting this together and her prognosis is very good.
Lisa is currently undergoing chemotherapy. She will have another surgery to remove lymph nodes and then twelve weeks of radiation.
As we all know, medical insurance isn't what it used to be. It covers some things, parts of others, and then there are the expenses that we don't really think about when we think about cancer.
