Lisa's Cancer Battle
To Our Mom:
We have created this page for our Mother Lisa, who is one of the best mothers 4 kids could ask for. She is a Fun loving and caring Individual who puts everyone else's feelings in consideration before her own.
About 6 years ago our mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer which struck the entire family by surprise, and her life literally changed overnight. Scared of the outcome, and afraid to lose it all, she immediately began invasive treatments such as a mastectomy and 36 treatments of radiation and numerous Chemotherapy treatments. After the dust had cleared it seemed like she finally had beaten the disease. Doctors had given her a bleak expected outcome, but we were blessed to receive another 6 years before the cancer reared its head again. The CAT scan revealed multiple masses in her back and one that encompasses the entire right hip. The cancer has metastasized from the breast and is now Stage 4 terminal bone cancer.
Just like the first time she was diagnosed Lisa still remains as strong as ever and is ready for round 2 of the long battle ahead. We currently drive my mother to the Mayo Clinic which is exactly 3 hours each way where she is getting care from some of the best doctors in the United States. Now wheel chair bound and out of work we are going through the disability process in hopes for some relief but bills continue to pile up. On October 9th my mother starts the first of twenty radiation treatments every day.
Cancer is a disease that we would not wish upon our worst enemy let alone our own mother. We have decided to create a fund, to help her with the cost of stacking medical bills, Housing costs, and gas. And we ask for anyone whom comes across this to keep our mother in their prayers, and if you could donate any amount even if it's just a prayer we would be eternally grateful. Our mother's turns 52 on the 12th of October and we would love for her to be a little less stressed during the holidays.
