Lisa Eid Scholarship Fund

As many know, Dave Eid of News Channel 13 has long covered Maine high school sports. He is a seasoned pro who works his tail off covering the sports we love. A short year ago, Dave sadly lost his lovely wife Lisa to a battle with non-smokers lung cancer. Lisa, a non-smoker, was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. She battled bravely but eventually succumbed to this hideous disease.

This year our Coaches versus Officials Golf Tourney will benefit The Lisa Eid Scholarship Fund. We will donate all proceeds to set up/establish a scholarship in Lisa’s name to benefit a graduating Maine high school student-athlete, or student, who will be going onto college to study biology and the requisite sciences for a career in cancer research. The goal will be to raise $10,000.00 and build on that each year.

This year the tourney will once again be held at Wilson Lake Country Club in Wilton and the date is now set for Saturday, August 13th.

Not only will this specifically help a Maine High School student or student/athlete further their education, but with all of your involvement, it will also bring more awareness and subsequent help to the type of cancer Lisa experienced.
