Linklater Voice Teacher Designation

Hello Friends and Family!
For the past three years, I've immersed myself in Linklater Voice Teacher Training in New York. After completing a rigorous sequence of voice classes, private sessions and teaching observations at Fordham University and Columbia University, I auditioned and was accepted to the Winter 2019 Designation Workshop with Kristin Linklater at the Kristin Linklater Voice Centre on the Orkney Islands in Scotland!
I'm seeking support from friends and family to help fund the airfare and workshop costs -- so that my certification as a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher becomes a reality :) Airfare and travel expenses to and from remote Orkney in late December and January came out to approx. $1,500 and the 3-week workshop fees and expenses are approximately $3,500 with the conversion from sterling to dollars.
The Linklater Method is a holistic approach to voice training, offering a systematic progression of somatic exercises to deepen breath awareness, release tension, access resonators and strengthen articulation. I enjoyed guiding students in Linklater voice in the acting classes that I taught a few years ago at University of California Santa Barbara. I love witnessing how it empowers students to connect with their own truths, listen and empathize with each other, collaborate and build community through storytelling!
Linklater voice work develops clarity, confidence and freedom in communication -- and proves immensely helpful for actors, performers of all kinds, and professionals engaged in public speaking. The Linklater Method is one of the most sought after voice training methods in undergraduate and graduate theater departments and for voice coaching at professional theater companies. The certification as a Designated Linklater Teacher critically increases competitiveness in the academic and professional theater job market.
