LINGUA LANGUAGE CENTER TEACHERS FUND

Teachers at Lingua Language Center in South Florida are mostly out of work due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Think of how they have helped you,  guided you and nurtured you through your own tough times.  Let's help them through this crisis by donating to help support them financially.  Lingua is a school based in Fort Lauderdale, FL that provides ESL programs for non-native English speakers.  Our dynamic  and dedicated instructors teach not only English skills, but cultural awareness to ease an international student's adjustment to living in the United States.   

Most language school professors teach at different schools and earn by the hour. For those at Lingua, hours have been reduced to just a few a week and they have no other sources of income at this time.  Schools like Lingua are not able to continue to pay teachers their regular hours because revenue has stopped or been reduced dramatically due to closures and uncertainty.  Although our school has converted to remote learning, logistics do not allow us to offer the classes to students right now with as many hours as before, which has seriously impacted teachers.  Lingua plans to continue to pay a portion of their teachers' weekly pay for as long as possible, but the teachers will need more financial support in the coming days as the effect of their reduced income takes a toll.

Funds raised here will be distributed directly to all 20+ currently employed Lingua teachers.  All donations will be so greatly appreciated!
