College of Charleston student dies after being hit by pickup truck while jogging.
FOUNDATION MISSION
To Help Lindsey's Mother Lynnette Ranz with funds and assistance during this time. Lindsey was the second girl to be killed while jogging at this intersection in 14 months. Lindsey's Project is called Ranz Crosstown Crosswalk. We will prevent this from happening again by changing the root of the problem which is the crosswalk. Support us and we will stand together as a massive Army fighting for Lindsey to make a difference. Because that is what Lindsey would want! We will be filing a motion with the city, College of Charleston and the Department of Transportation to improve the intersection at the parkway and Coming St. If they are not willing to cooperate, we will continue to fight and grow our cause to make a difference.
We are planning to put solar LED Flash reflectors with pressure plates on the sidewalk for runners. The crosswalk will have a metal plaque that will be placed in the pavement dedicated to Lindsey.
WANT TO HELP ?
We need people with knowledge or resources in the following areas:
-Road work or engineering
-City counsel, mayor's office and department of transportation
-Graphic design for Lindsey's plaque
-Project research
-Administrative tasks
-Funds for Lindsey's mother, crosswalk project, flyers & manpower.
-Any way you think you can contribute please help.
