Help Guatemala Hear
Donation protected
Hello all!
Last Spring, I was granted a life changing opportunity to provide audiology services to individuals in Guatemala, as well as participate in a local construction project. During our week spent serving, we were able to fit upwards of 60 hearing aids and see many returning patients to create fresh earmolds and provide a new supply of batteries. Our construction efforts were toward a new home for a beautiful family in which we ended the day celebrating with pinatas and games. Going into this experience, I was aware that the goal of this mission trip was to pass on happiness, love, and hearing to the individuals we would serve, but I had not realized the amount of inspiration and delight the people of Guatemala would contribute to my life. When we were packing our bags and saying our goodbyes, I knew in my heart that this would not be the last time I would visit Guatemala.
I am so excited to be joining the FSU Speech and Hearing Team and Porch De Salomen in Panajachel, Guatemala for the Help Guatemala Hear mission trip for a second time this coming Spring!!! Fortunately, through my studies at East Carolina University, my audiology skills are expanding, and I cannot wait to visit Guatemala to practice a skill set I am extremely passionate about.
To ensure this trip is as effective as possible, we must fundraise and aim to bring as many supplies as we can. Any donation can get my team and I one step closer to providing hearing services to the people of Guatemala. Your kindness is greatly appreciated! Please feel free to share my page and spread the word :)
Thank you so much for your support!
Kindly,
Lindsey Guthrie
