Lindsey Joy - Cancer Warrior

In 2010, at just 22 years old, Lindsey was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. She underwent a Thyroidectomy where they removed 12 lymph nodes, 10 of which were positive for cancer. She then underwent targeted radiation therapy for her diagnosis. Things were looking good until 2012 when biopsy after biopsy came back inconclusive and results showed a rise in tumor markers. Mayo immediately took action and found/removed all lymph nodes on the right side. 5mths later the cancer returned. Her last surgery was in August of 2014.

Four years later Lindsey received awful news. She is now Stage 4, with metastases to the lungs. It’s currently in her entire right lung, and in the branches and lower lobe of the left lung. She returns to Mayo in November for a repeat chest scan and to meet with her new oncologist, and hopefully walking away from that appointment with a plan of attack.

Lindsey is a mother to a 6 year old son. She has her life ahead of her. Lets help Lindsey and her family take on these HUGE medical and travel expenses so she can focus on battling this awful disease. Your prayers, love and support mean so much thank you!
