Miracle In The Making. Lindsay's Cancer Fight

On Sept. 13th I sat on a treatment table at UAB after having a right breast MRI to investigate a seatbelt injury that happened in May. The radiologist told me that he was 95% certain I had inflammatory breast cancer with dermal lymphatic invasion.
The staff volunteered to stay after hours on a Friday night to do my biopsies immediately. I was humbled and so grateful that they felt I was important enough to stay, but also terrified that I was important enough to stay. When the pathology report came back, it confirmed that I have cancer.
I have cancer. Those are words I never dreamed I would utter at 38 years old.
On September 18th we met with my Oncology Team at UAB and discussed the plan. 18 to 20 weeks of chemo, followed by bilateral mastectomies and a month of radiation. The breast cancer is Estrogen (-), Progesterone (+), and HER2 (+). It’s rare and aggressive, but God has already spoken! “Not my child!” He’s spoken to us in so many ways and the Holy Spirit is providing peace beyond understanding, like only He can.
We know these next months will be met with great challenges, but we are ready to FIGHT! We have put on the Armor of God and our swords are drawn!
How you can help? First and foremost we covet your prayers. Prayer changes things and we believe God will answer our prayers! Many of you have asked how they can give monetarily so we set up this campaign to give that opportunity to those who are willing.
We thank you for your prayers during this time.
