Linda's Medical Crisis
Donation protected
Hi everyone! My name is Linda and I have been going through health issues for a long time now. The following is a brief history of it all:
November of 2007: I had my first mitral valve surgery.
November of 2009: My potassium level got too low and my heart stopped, that night I was shocked 14 times and was in the critical care unit for 5 days.
November of 2012: I had brain surgery done at the University Of Minnesota for a floating pseudo tumor that they had discovered, the team tried to place a shunt in but were unable to do so. I was in the ICU for a week.
December of 2012: I was told that a fast weight loss was supposed to help with my pseudo tumor, so I had the gastric bypass surgery done.
May of 2012: I had my second mitral valve replacement due to a clot that was caused by all of the recent surgeries, this surgery put me out of work for a year.
January of 2013: I was having abdominal problems so I went back to where I had my gastric bypass done, they proceeded to do an EGD on me and somehow ended up tearing me, I had to have emergency surgery and I turned septic. I also had to have my gall bladder removed.
April of 2017: I was hospitalized due to shortness of breath, this time I was told my heart was failing.
Here's my reality; my only options were a heart transplant or being placed with Hospice Care so I could be at home with my cat Belle and enjoy any remaining time I have left with my family and friends.I have opted for the latter as I did not want to suffer through another heart surgery.
As I can no longer work, I don't have any income coming in for monthly expenses, I have filed for disability but as most of you know that takes time.
My financial needs are this:
1) Rent
2) Utilities
3) Groceries
4) Various medical expenses
Thank you all for your kindness, generosity and prayers. God Bless You!
