Linda Mtshibe Funeral Assistance

We are raising funds to help support the family of Linda Mtshibe. Linda Thelma Mtshibe passed away on 2/20/2018 after a three-week-long terminal illness; liver cancer. She was an inspiring community development activist and believed in the young people of Cape Town, South Africa. Linda was fiercely strong, dedicated, and showed perseverance in all life’s tasks. For more than a decade, Linda served Educo Africa and gave her all to the participants of the program. She educated them on the outdoors, culture, and discovery of self. Linda will be remembered by her contagious laugh that filled the room with positive energy and love.

We are a group of graduate students, at the University of Denver helping to raise money for her family. We met Linda in November, 2017 and spent two weeks with her as she educated us on the history and future of South Africa and its people. In just the short time we knew Linda, she made a strong impact on us that all of us will never forget.

On March 3rd, the family is laying Linda to rest, and we would like to help the family during this time to assist with financial cost of the funeral and lost income.
