Linda Curtin Memorial Scholarship

Linda Curtin -a wonderful wife, mother, and friend-tragically passed away 25 years ago. She raised five loving children; Brian, Dave, Jim, Mary and Kevin. While doing so, she was actively involved in her community, and made a memorable impact on many.  To honor this unforgettable woman the Curtin family is establishing a scholarship for District 228 students starting 2020-2021 school year. One student in each district school will be awarded a scholarship. District 228 has been a part of our family since 1978. All of the children of  Linda and Dennis Curtin attended Bremen High School. Two of their five children are married to District 228 graduates. Our father retired from District 228 after over 30 years of service. He worked at three of the district schools over those 30 years. Two of his sons, Jim and Dave have worked in District 228 for over 20 years as teachers and administrators. The employees and students of the district have played an enormous role in our lives. We are excited to use this scholarship to honor our loving mother, who made such a positive impact on so many in her 46 years with us. Also, we are eager to give back to a community that has given us so much.
