Lincolns Road To Recovery

We don't often ask for help but as a family in need we truly need it so we can continue to support our little man get better! While being in hospital time stands still but this does not mean so do the endless bills and financial burden at such a awful time.

For those of you who know Lincoln known the heart ache and endless tests poor little Lincoln has had to go through in the past 3 weeks. For those who don't Lincoln had the typical cold which we was told but numerous doctors. We felt like we was constantly back and forth at the doctors trying to get some answers as to why our son wasn't improving only to be told just to ride the cold out. We weren't satisfied with that so more doctor visits, a hospital in the middle of the night which we was sent home with a ice block then another hospital visit FINALLY a X-ray which they found Lincoln Had extremely bad Pneumonia. The next day we was flown back to where we started and straight to the ICU unit where more tests were done lincoln also has pleural effusion on both lungs and a nasty bug called pneumococcal in lungs and blood. 3 litres of pus and fluid was drained just from Lincolns right side. Lincoln still has a long road to recovery due to a large pocket of pus at the top of his right lung. They have also found that the left lung has more fluid building up as well as the right side again. Doctors are still unsure on how to treat Lincoln as antibiotics seem to be only
Masking the infection. We will
Continue to wait for more scans and a review from surgeons in hope lincoln will receive the best possible outcome for a speedy recovery. .
