A message from patron and friend Hakim Morris:
"These past few weeks have been surreal for everyone. COVID-19 is something new and foreign to all of us and one thing that is becoming clearer every day, is that we provide each other more strength together than we do apart.
That being said, my mind starts to think about the people who are affected by this in our dining and nightlife industries. These people whose jobs and hard work usually go unrecognized as the people who may get you another Mango White Claw or bring the next round of shots. What we all can't forget is that these jobs are supported mainly by the tips of their various patrons. With the shutdown of "dining-in" at all establishments in Boston, these people who are our servers and bartenders are affected more than we realize.
We should all pay attention to the fact that these people aren't trying to not work, they are being told they can't for our safety and to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
I would like to be here for those people as much as they are there for us when we are taking our Fridays, Saturdays, and sometimes even Sundays to decompress from the work week prior or to prepare for the workweek to come.
Be aware of the strength and need for charity to those who may need it, in a time when a variety of the normal aspects of life are not so normal."
