LRTT Fellowship - Tanzania
Donation protected
Every child has a right to quality education, regardless of the context they are born into.
Which is why I applied to be a LRTT Fellow. LRTT (Limited Resource Teacher Training) is a teacher training provider which works in limited resourced contexts, in countries across Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. Its aim is to provide sustainable training for teachers in areas where training is limited and where there are key gaps in teaching skills and strategies. The project is facilitated by teachers for teachers to make a positive impact on education and communities.
This summer I will be one of 250 teachers from the UK working to upskill and energise teachers from 9 counties across the world.
I have been successful in joining the pioneering fellowship in Morogoro, which aims to support Tanzania meet its next goal of improving the quality of education.
I am therefore asking for your support in raising funds for my fee to attend the programme (£1100 + £295 membership). The fee goes directly to LRTT to run the programme as well as providing shared accommodation for the fellows. Through my own savings I will be funding other expenses such as flights, visa and excursions.
This is an amazing opportunity for me to use my teacher summer to grow as an educator, to improve my own teaching as well as that of someone else’s by sharing my skill, to make a global impact and to have an adventure! All of which can only be made possible with your support!
