Lily and the Lump's Fundraising Page!
Donation protected
Lily is a happy, friendly and active 9 year old. Big sister to Jake and Aria, she is the kindest and bravest soul.
In September 2020, a lump appeared on her leg and on 1st December 2020 she was diagnosed with an undifferentiated soft tissue tumour. She had no other symptoms and the type of tumour is still unknown. Lily immediately started a gruelling chemotherapy regime of 9 rounds which will be followed by surgery, radiotherapy and more chemotherapy. Lily's journey has only just begun, but the strength and determination she shows is overwhelming.
After she received her diagnosis she was adamant that she wanted to fundraise and raise awareness of childhood cancer. One way she would like to raise money is by selling some ceramics she has painted when feeling well enough for donations. She has a few other ideas up her sleeve too!
Lily would like to support both the wards that have been looking after and three amazing charities;
Piam Brown Ward at Southampton General Hospital https://www.uhs.nhs.uk/OurServices/Childhealth/ChildrenscancerandhaematologyPiamBrown/ChildrenscancerandhaemotologyPiamBrown.aspx
Northbrook Ward at Royal Hampshire County Hospital https://www.hampshirehospitals.nhs.uk/our-services/az-departments-and-specialties/northbrook-children-and-young-peoples-unit
Abby's Heroes https://www.abbysheroes.org/
Alfie's Wish https://www.alfieswish.org.uk/
Clic Sargent https://www.clicsargent.org.uk/
If you're able to donate, we would greatly appreciate it and if not please do share, we'd love to raise awareness as well as funds for some fantastic causes!
We have started a blog to keep everyone updated on Lily's progress and to help raise awareness of childhood cancer.
