Hi, my name is Brianna Bowman. I’m starting this fundraiser for a sweet special girl who just happens to be my niece. Her name is Lilly. 2 years ago she was diagnosed with a tumor on her spine called a spinal pilocytic astrocytoma. It is a rare form of a Pilocytic Astrocytoma because instead of it being on the brain like most it is on her spine. This tumor was pressing on her spine and caused scoliosis of the spine. She underwent a very extensive surgery which in turned caused other complications such as drop foot due to the surgery on her spine. After recovering from the surgery she underwent physical therapy and has had routine doctor visits to make sure the tumor did not return. 2 weeks ago she went back for a routine scan to make sure all was well, but this time her doctor found that it had returned but on the lower part of her spine. It isn’t as big as the first so with that being said they will not be able to do surgery. They have decided to start her on chemo. She will go once a week for the first 12 weeks and then once a month after that for an additional 9 months. This will be very hard on her 6 year old little body. Her mother and father will be there every step of the way and with that being said her dad will have to take off from work to be there and in turn this will hurt their income. They also will have to prepare for the constant trips back and forth to lubbock from Sweetwater and stays in Lubbock if she has to stay over night. My sister is also pregnant and due in December, so all of this was very unexpected. Her little family is undergoing many trials right now so if I could please ask for as many prayers as possible and if you are able and would like to donate it would be very much appreciated! ❤️
