Liliya's Cancer treatment

Hello, and thank you for taking time to read our Story. On January 6th our family was told the news that no one wants to hear. Our precious little daughter has been Diagnosed with Cancer at just 2 1/2 years old.  As you may know, her trip this far hasn't been the easiest. She was born with a sacrococcygeal teratoma, weighing 2.5lbs of her 6.5lb birth weight. On just her second day of life, she underwent a surgery to remove the tumor, and part of her tail bone with it. The tumor itself was 95% benign, however 5% of it was detirmend to be cancerous. This 5% was located inside the tumor itself, and was not on the outer walls of it. Because of the tumor we were told that there would be a small (less than 1% chance) of cancer recurring. For the first 3 years of her life, she has had to have blood work done every 6 months to monitor tumor markers. On the 6th we were told her marker count was over 34,000, up from 14 6 months earlier, this told the doctors that cancer was present. Our next step was an MRI and CT scan, which verified that the tumor had grown back in the same spot, inside of her body.

Our next steps going forward over the next few months will start with Surgery to remove the tumor again. This will be followed by 4-5 Intense rounds of Chemo, requiring up to 5 days in the hospital at a time, followed by 7-10 days of recovery at home. Each round of chemo will be 3-4 weeks apart. Liliya will need around the clock care to maintin her health. With that in Mind, Nicole will not be able to work during this time, it will be too much to deal with, while also having her twin brother at home. Lucian will continue to work, except for the days Liliya is in the hospital for Surgery and Chemo, which we're estimating will be about 25-30 days of missed work. We will be using funds collected to try and ease the financial burden this will place upon us. Any of you who know us, know we are not one's to ask for help, but we realize it is going to be very difficult to do this alone. Any help will be greatly appreciated, every penny and every share will help.
