Lilith’s Emergency Dental Fund
After experiencing dental neglect as a teenager I was left with a baby tooth that never fell out, which led to me having a snaggle tooth and an adult tooth grown in far behind.
Not too many years later I experienced 5 years of homelessness and dental care of any kind was inaccessible. It took me about a decade to learn to smile again after one kind dentist gave me a temporary fix with composite. While I knew one day I may be faced with trouble from the offending tooth it never seemed to catch up to me - until now, another decade later.
In the middle of a pandemic, after being one of many people to lose my job, while also facing a personal health crisis and balancing immuno risk of catching Covid, I have learned that I needimmediate care as the tooth has need for immediate extraction, as well as a few other issues that could result in overall loss of jaw and tooth health.
The amount I am hoping to raise will cover extraction, medications, transportation, as well asnecessary fillings, corrections etc.
If a significant amount above the asking is raised I will be asking my dentist to apply it to outstanding bills of other BIPOC clients.
