Thomas Jefferson said it best...
"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot, and hang on".
Life has its way of sliding us closer and closer to the end of that rope, and I'm sure each and every one of you reading this now has found themselves hanging at that end at some point in your lives.
Sometimes the stay is long, sometimes short, but there are very few instances in life that can be as painful, that can quickly send you to the bottom of that rope, than being diagnosed with cancer.
It could quite possibly be the biggest rope-cutter of them all; just coming through unannounced and unwarranted, slicing its way through the hope, faith, perseverance, and determination of whoever is handed down the diagnosis.
Jennifer Laningham knows this giant all too well; being diagnosed with childhood Leukemia at a young age would send even the grittiest of warriors to their knees. But she won. By the grace of God, and the love and support of family, Jenny stood up to her giant, and won.
She tied that knot into the end of her rope, she hung on, and she pushed through. And today, she has a beautiful life, a beautiful family, and years of love and laughter to show for it.
It's easy to assume that one diagnosis of cancer in life would be enough, but like John Lennon tells us...'life is what happens when we're busy making other plans'. And so, our sweet Jenny finds herself back in the ring once more...
Leiomyosarcoma. Cancer in the soft tissue of Jenny's chest cavity, surrounding her heart. Advanced. Inoperable. Rope-cutter.
Currently, Jenny is researching and exploring a variety of clinical trials that will give her the best chance at beating this giant, but these opportunities come with a high price tag. Sadly, her insurance isn't accepted at any of the hospitals that are offering these trials, so she will be asked to come out-of-pocket to pay for the expenses that will come with seeking medical intervention. And for anyone who knows the cost of cancer treatment, you know prices can range into the tens of thousands. We can't forgo these life-saving opportunities for Jenny, so this is where we ask for your help.

The foundation of which our lives were built; the reason we open our eyes every morning; the sole purpose of our entire existence...love. Our lives are centered on love; love from God, and love for each other.
So when someone you love is handed down a diagnosis of cancer, there's nothing you else you do but fight along side them, providing whatever means of support you possibly can.
