Thinking no better way to share this opportunity to financially support the Marlin family during this financial hardship then by sharing the journal entry that Jesse posted on 6-10-17.

FROM JESSE -
Hello family, relatives, dear friends and others following my progress,

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me but to all who crave His appearing.…” 2 Timothy 4:7

This is a scripture that really speaks to me, it talks about the journey I’ve been on and the promise for my future.

It is with sadness that I must convey to you that I am in my final hospice status. However, with joy, that I will soon be with the Lord. The blood transfusions that have been sustaining me these many months, no longer have the positive effect that they used to. My transfusions have now ceased with my new hospice status.

I want to thank the many friends that have known me all these years and who I’ve interacted with.Thank you for being a friend. I want to thank, in particular, the friends who have accompanied me during this challenging ordeal. Your friendship has meant a lot to me throughout my life.

I would like to thank everybody who has been praying on my behalf these many years. Your prayers have also sustained me and I’m sure that they’ve contributed to the many graces God has given me over the last few years. Your continued prayers have certainly helped me deal with the diagnosis and treatment of my cancers. Unfortunately, the Leukemia, in particular, is now taking a toll. I’m still severely anemic and no amount of transfusions is going to change that.

Your prayers certainly have given me strength and were certainly heard in Heaven.

The time has come now to realize that fighting three cancers is quite a challenge and God has other plans for the remainder of my life. So I just ask that you pray for a smooth transition as I get ready to join the Lord in Heaven.

I ask for continued prayers for my family and I leave you with these words:

“The Word Among Us”

"In the end, it’s the way we live with our disabilities that glorifies God. Look at St. Paul: he spoke about his “thorn in the flesh” and asked God to take it away (2 Corinthians 12:7) But he came to understand that God’s power is “made perfect in weakness” (12:9). His struggle helped him go beyond trying to get rid of his difficult and focus on serving the Lord instead. God can be revealed in our weaknesses and struggles, whoever we are. With God’s grace, we can learn to love and praise Jesus through our disabilities. We can grow to trust him in the face of trials or limitations."

Blessings to all and I will see you in Heaven.
