Lifting up Laurie

Laurie is a wife and mother of five sons, 1 daughter-in-law and granddaughter whom she adores! In August of 2016, Laurie was found to have a small turkey-sized tumor surrounding her right kidney and adrenal gland.  In September 2016, she had it surgically removed.   In April of 2020, a recurrence of this rare retroperitoneal liposarcoma was found around her blood vessels (inferior evna cava and aorta artery).  It is inoperable.  To help Laurie's immune system fight this cancer, she has been going to the Born Clinic in Grand Rapids, MI. twice every week to receive Vitamin C and Ultra-Violet Blood infusions.  Laurie is also boosting her immune system with vitamins and herbal supplements to fight back and shrink the tumor.  These treatments have helped her gain her appetite back and live more fully while fighting this cancer.  All of this is an out-of-pocket expense , NOT covered by insurance.  Laurie has had to stop teaching preschool due to health and Covid restrictions; and she has no disability or unemployment insurance.  While she fights for her health, the financial strain is an added burden we reach out to you for help with if you can.

Laurie is a loving, and caring friend to many.  During this difficult time it would be wonderful to return some love back to Laurie and relieve the financial stress this has placed on the Koning Family.  She and her family appreciate any financial help you can offer.  They will appreciate all prayers and support.
