Life-saving treatment for Marcos Rios

Marcos Rios is our lovely 91-year-old father and grandfather. He lives in Maracaibo Venezuela where he had an unfortunate fall two weeks ago. As a consequence of the fall, he was found with a right hip fracture requiring emergent hip replacement surgery but also he was found to have a complete heart block for which he needed an urgent pacemaker surgery. He initially was recovering well from both surgeries but this past week he started having right thigh pain that became unbearable prompting further medical evaluation. He got complicated with bleeding and infection in the site of his hip surgery requiring another emergent surgery and is currently on the intensive medical care unit in a delicate state of health receiving treatment for sepsis. Unfortunately, the medical expenses of this unexpected and difficult situation are high making it difficult for our family to able to provide the means to help our father. We created this Go fund to seek support from our friends and the community so we can continue the treatment of our beloved Marcos Rios. Any collaboration is greatly appreciated.  Marcos Rios es nuestro amado padre y abuelo de91 anos de edad, quien vive actuamente en Maracaibo, Venezuela. Desafortunadamente tuvo una caida hace dos semanas presentado un dolor en el area de la cadera derecha presentando  fractura de cadera derecha que amerito un reemplazo total de cadera. Previo a la cirugia se le consiguio un bloqueo cardiaco que amerito la colocacion emergente de un marcapasos. La cirugia de cadera se realizo con exito y fue dado de alta. Dias posteriores a la cirugia presento dolor e inflamacion en el muslo derecho por lo que fue evaluado y requirio  una cirugia exploratoria donde se consiguio sangrado e infeccion. Requirio ser intubado y actualmente se encuentra en la unidad de cuidados intensivos recibiendo tratamiento para septicemia. Desafortunadamente, los gastos médicos de esta inesperada y difícil situación son altos, lo que dificulta que nuestra familia pueda proporcionar los medios para ayudar a nuestro padre. Creamos este gofoundme para buscar el apoyo de nuestros  familiares, amigos y la comunidad para que podamos continuar el tratamiento de nuestro querido Marcos Ríos.
