Life-Altering Surgery for Elisa

My sister is a Nonbinary Black person in need. Elisa (they/them) has been living in pain their whole life from scoliosis and every doctor they have spoken to recently is very optimistic that breast reduction surgery will have a significant increase on Elisa’s quality of life. Also, as a Nonbinary person, Elisa says that it would be incredibly freeing to be able to affirm their gender in social presentation!

Our Goal Date is January 14th with a goal of $480 by December 18th! This is when the surgery is and the amount due the day of. Elisa has a small amount of savings, however they have been mostly depleted this year due to instability in housing and unemployment as a result of the pandemic this year. Insurance will cover some -- but not all -- of the cost of the surgery and Elisa will be directly responsible for paying the remaining amount as well as costs of hospital trips leading to the surgery, physical therapy following the surgery, and living expenses during her recovery period. Elisa has already began interviewing for positions starting in late January 2021 but is in very urgent need now!

We hope that you'll donate as much or as little as you can! Every amount helps my strong and beautiful sister who is in need of support! If we are blessed enough to surpass our goal of $6400 the overfunded amount will be redistributed to other Black queer folks in need!
