LIFE SAVING TREATMENT FOR TOBY!
Young Toby a Kelpie joined us some weeks ago, from a private surrender, with no history, It was quickly apparent that there was something not so right about Toby, as he tired quick and you could feel his heart beating out of his chest. 
A check up with our vets confirmed that Toby's heart wasn't great, it sounded like a washing machine wooshing around, they diagnosed him with a 6/6 heart murmur and we had to see Dr Brad our trusted cardiologist, to see what we could do. 
Toby was quickly booked in at VSS in Underwood, he had to stay the day for an Echo cardiogram, this is a special machine that ultrasounds the heart. 
Sadly Toby has been diagnosed with a PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus) This is the most common congenital heart disease in dogs. It is due to the failure of the ductus arteriosus muscle to constrict, leaving a passageway for blood flow and resulting in eventual left-sided heart disease and/or generalized heart failure. (It is hereditary in several breeds.).
This is devastating news, Fortunately though this can be corrected by a specialist surgery.
This is crucial for Toby, if he doesn't receive this life saving treatment he will not see 6 months of age and we just cant fathom not seeing this cheeky little face any longer. 
The surgery has been quoted at $7500, and needs to be done with in the next 4 weeks. We need your help to save this little boys life. We are aware this cost is massive, but how can we not try?
Toby is an amazing young man that hasn't let this condition change him. Toby was dealt a terrible hand, but together we can change this.
