Life Saving Treatment For Our Dad.

May we say firstly, thank you for clicking on this link and thank you for even considering donating in such a tough economical time. On the 19th June 2017 our dad, Martin Harland, had the devastating news that a biopsy conducted had confirmed a cancerous tumour within his pancreas. Days before this diagnosis it was also confirmed that under normal procedure an operation was not an option as the tumour was 'wrapped around' a main artery. This left my dad with the only option of being administered a course of chemotherapy in the 5% hope that it would shrink the tumour. As you may have guessed this was the worst news we could have all comprehended. However, research was conducted by ourselves to look for any possible avenue to go down which could tackle this cancer head on, as well as from chemotherapy. A relatively new and groundbreaking surgical procedure titled "Nanoknife" was discovered, this entails a small operation whereby three large needles are inserted into the body, more specifically into the region of the head of the pancreas, where the tumour inhabits and the needles send 3000 volts of electrical current into the tumour in the hope of ultimately diminishing and shrinking it. What would this mean for our dad? It would mean everything put bluntly, not only to him but to us as well. Anyone who knows our father will recognise a smiling, friendly and tenacious character who above all holds those close and distant to him in higher regards than himself. A selfless, hard-working, vivacious man with so many more years ahead of him, at the age of just 54 and in great health there couldn't be a more undeserving man, if anyone would ever deserve cancer at all. We NEED your help, the procedure costs £14,000, its a huge amount for us and for anyone but even a £5 donation can go a long way in giving our Dad a life saving operation. You may or may not know my sister and I, perhaps you may not even know our Dad, but we would forever be indebted to you if you were to make any sort of donation as I know money at the moment is tight for nearly everyone. I realise its hard to comprehend what this situation is like if you have never been subjected to it, but I can tell you it is possibly the worst situation anyone could ever be in. Your donation genuinely would mean the world to us, our family and in particular our best friend, our dad.
