On July 31st 2020 Christine Dorohoy (mother to Taiya and Cole Jensen) was in a terrible horse accident. She was flown from the accident site to Medicine Hat hospital via HALO and then by fixed wing to Calgary with a significant brain injury including skull fracture and bleeding in her brain in 2 locations. She has undergone brain surgery to remove 2 blood clots as well as remove a part of her skull to help alleviate the swelling in her brain. She also has a broken tailbone and bruised lungs.
Christine’s husband Tylan won’t be working for awhile as he supports her in her journey to recover. The doctors are concerned about cognitive and speech deficits and are saying this will be a long journey to recovery for her. She is currently in the life saving stage of her journey.
