William Mitchell was diagnosed with Kidney Failure several years ago. He has been undergoing dialysis for the past 2 years while waiting for a kidney donor. In February of 2017 his wife Pamela Mitchell shared his story to one of her clients Deandra, very often they discussed and prayed for his healing. Deandara knew God wanted to use her to save a life. At one of her appointments with Pam, Deandra shared the news that she wanted to donate a kidney to William. Although, it seemed like prayers answered and miracle for William, they knew she had to undergo testing to determine if she was a match. The chances were very low of her being a match.
William waited patiently all while handling day to day task and even taken care of his elderly father. Day in and day out William would take care of his father, even after sitting 4 hours in dialysis 3 times a week. On February 14th, 2018 William's father departed his life. This was extremely difficult for William and his wife Pamela as they loved his father dearly. On February 19th, 2018, William and Pamela were leaving home to go bury his father, the phone rang..... Pamela answered the phone and it was Williams team of kidney specialist telling her that Deandra was a 100% match for the kidney donation. That day was bitter-sweet. God had ended a journey to began a new journey. Even in the midst of darkness, God still shines. William has been granted a chance to be a living testimony as to what God can do when we pray, listen and follow Him!
On April 18th, 2018 William and Deandra will undergo a very extensive surgery. Deandra recently started a new job and still has yet to earn benefits. We are thankful her job understood the magnitude of her sacrifice and allowed her the time off without consequences but she will not receive any pay. She currently cares for her daughter and twins. Deandra has selflessly volunteered to give William a second chance at life. God has brought William this far, and has provided a donor. We know God will place it on the hearts of others to give financially. Giving will help Deandra with any expenses related to surgery, recovery and financial hardships.
We are asking for this donation specifically for Deandra because she is giving the biggest donation ever..... to save a life. She's doing it from a heart of compassion. Please find it in your heart to donate to this special woman who means so much to our family. Thank you!!!
