Life of Shyon Smith

From growing up in Reston his whole life, Shyon has truly made a great impact as a friend, student, and teammate to everyone around him. Tragically, Shyon Smith lost his life on August 8th at 18 years old. Shyon was formerly a student at South Lakes High school as well as a strong member of the South Lakes Football team and planned to attend Radford University in the fall. 

Shyon Smith was the epitome of “to know him is to love him”. His contagious laugh and magnetic sense of humor drew people to him. Without hesitation, he was always willing to help his family and friends. Shyon’s warmhearted personality, devotion for his loved ones, and outstanding athletic abilities inspired all who crossed his path. 

This sudden loss has greatly affected his family, friends, the community, and all who loved him. We created this fundraiser to help his families’ financial needs in holding a proper funeral service. While no amount of money can take away the pain, we hope easing their financial burden will bring some comfort in their grief.
