This whole ordeal has been completely devastating.  It has already cost way too much time off work, and the medical bills alone are tremendous.  Even with insurance.  As the Kidney transplant nears, I'm a little nervous about even more time off/Hospital time out with no pay.  A friend recommended I create a GoFundMe account in hopes to try and offset some of this by accepting donations and gifts from my beloved friends and family.  My struggls over he past 2 years has only led me to find;  I simply can not make it alone.  Although I still remain totally confident in that the Lord is in control and this is all very much  part of his plan.  I believe and trust that He will see me through.  If He puts it on your heart to help in any way, I will be eternally grateful.

Almost 3 years ago today a very worried Nephrologist informed me that I had a very serious form of kidney disease.  As horrified as I was, it still didn't make any sense.  Aside from my blood pressure issues I felt great.  The Dr. went on to explain to me that Kidney disease, aka Renal failure, or more commonly known as "the silent killer",  earned that name because there really isn't much that will alert a person when one or both kidneys begin to fail.  Amazingly, kidneys can still  rid the body of toxins and excess fluids even while only functioning at less than 25% capacity.  Unfortunately, for me, before I ever knew what hit me, it was too late.  The good news the Dr gave me that day was; by stabilizing my blood pressure through medication, my kidneys were good for at least another 13 years.

But that would not be the case.  Due to Chronic Hypertension,  my Kidneys were only able to last only  2 more years.  I went in to End Stage Renal Failure.  Dec 2015.  Almost didn't make it out I the hospital.  Next to police violence and drugs, hypertension is a known  contributor to the early demise of Black Men in America.
So, at this point I am surviving with Dialisys treatments 3 times a week, but I and I'm on the National transplant list patiently waiting for transplant opportunity.
Which is expected to take a few years.  It's been almost 2 years and Im getting the feeling that the call could come in at any time. .
