Michael Made Me Laugh, how about you?!
We are raising funds to cover the memorial expenses of our friend, partner but most of all brother, Michael Moss aka @DistrictOilCo. I can't believe that I am typing this... please bear with me. My heart is so heavy right now and my thoughts are truly so unclear. Well, one thing that I do know for certain is he was the Dopest Gentle Giant on the Planet!
You may ask why am I the one putting this together? Honestly, I feel obligated. Last year I had the courage to ask Michael if something ever happened to him, what was the plan? He replied "Dia, I'm Out!" In only his Grimy voice. In other words he didn't plan on leaving us. He lived his life everyday as if it was his last day. He poured out his life everyday into others through encouraging words, blatant honesty, staying on neutral ground and showing tough love. He was a big brother, barista, teacher, provider, ladies man, gentleman, gamer and most of all excellent business man. Michael was never a biological father but he was always there for my family and many others dear to him.
Unfortunately, no one is/was prepared for this but we now need to be there for him now.
On behalf of him we are asking you to help us cover his memorial service and final expenses. We are planning to have the Home Going Celebration in Washington, DC. We will need the funds no later than October 30th. (Time is of the essence.)
Right now arrangements are still in the process of being made but in order for them to be finalized we need the appropriate funds.
I know that you can also share some great stories and photos as well and we need you to! Please post them on his Facebook timeline so we can collect them.
We never expect the worse in life but here we are. Here's one more thing to get thru in 2020, I never saw this coming!
