Life-Altering Challenge
I am a U.S.T.A. member, Army Veteran Honorable Discharge, American Legion member and a father of 3 young children. Presently I am facing my toughest challenge in my 57 years.
* During my time in the Army, I. sustained a severe injury to my back that caused chronic pain.
In 2016, I awoke to a swollen left foot with excruciating pain. I went to the V.A. to get medical attention. The Doctor found unknown to me, that I had a fracture to the top and bottom of the foot. The arch blew apart leaving extensive calcification. A infection ensued leading to 40 treatments in a Hyperbaric Chamber to combat the infection and pain.
On September 11, 2019 my foot was amputated hoping to eliminate the bone infection, that was enough. A few days later, another amputation below the knee. I know must wait and see where I am physically.
I am now facing more therapy and living costs for my family which I am unable to provide. I writing this in hope of getting some financial support for my recovery and new life with 1 good leg and Neuropathy.
I am appealing to the generosity of my fellow U.S.T.A. members, Veterans, American Legion and anyone that can appreciate my situation.
In lieu of your donations I would like to thank you from my family and myself.
Sincerely,
Duane Stoliker
