Life after devistating fire
Donation protected
On September 24th 2019, our apartment and all of our possessions were destroyed in a large fire. We have not only lost our home, but irreplaceable items with sentimental value. Our family was able to skate by , using our collective efforts and finances. We were struggling before the fire, but now we are finding it almost impossible to recover from such a devastating incident.
We are a Black Queer Trans household, and our apartment was a safe haven for others like us. It is especially heartbreaking to know we lost that space and everything inside that made it special. It was already difficult to find a safe and stable place to live, and now we don't have any idea what we will become of us.
The main type of help we need is financial! The following is a list of uses for the funds you contribute:
- NEW HOUSING (Security deposit/First and last month's rent)
- FOOD
-IMPORTANT TIME SENSITIVE MEDICATIONS
-MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND FEES
- Clothing
- New legal documents ( Licenses, Birth Certificates, Car titles, ect)
-Furniture
-Transportation
-Technology (Phones, laptops)
We are EXTREMELY grateful for any and all help. PLEASE spread the word and help as much as you can. We are not in a position to be shy about asking for and receiving help.
