My name is Tara Wood and I’m the mother of five children--two of whom are on the autism spectrum. I myself struggle with sensory integration, so I use this challenge to assist in the development of my kids. I can happily say that life has never been dull.

Especially when it comes to the dinner table.

Due to other health complications in my family, I’ve spent numerous years developing and perfecting unique and healthy recipes.

A crowd favorite is my homemade Cheesy Kale Chips. We endearingly call this on-the-go snack “Road Kale.”

This pure recipe is made with kale, red pepper, sunflower, sesame, and flax seeds, fresh lemon juice, sea salt, and other integral spices.

Many believe there is actual cheese in this product, but my family handles dairy like the black plague--so we avoid it at all costs.

This wholesome snack has become a staple for the sea of people that have tried it. They can’t stop popping it into their mouths!

After all, no one is ever fully satisfied with a single bite of anything good.

After my husband, Doug, suffered an attack of acute pancreatitis--losing his job to bed rest--the two of us have decided to embrace our culinary passions through our brand Licensed To Kale: a mouth-watering line of gourmet vegan and raw snacks and delights.

In the spirit of James Bond, we want people to “die another day” with our living body, living food alternatives.

We will be starting out with our signature product... "Cheeseed Road Kale".

We have several stores eager to carry my product. But the undertaking of kale chips is not for the faint of heart. You need dehydrators for the crunch factor, packaging for the aesthetics, licensing for the distribution, and marketing to get the entire operation off the ground.

In other words, we need to raise the minimum of $10,000.

This will become the vehicle to not only support my family but to fund my lifelong dream of creating sensory friendly, healthy snacks geared toward the Autism community. So, in addition to dehydrators, we will be purchasing a freeze dryer and other essential equipment and resources.

With the Autism rate growing through the roof, there is a real need for healthy snacks and meal alternatives.

Licensed To Kale has those real solutions. With the help of your funding, we will make our alternative food options even more accessible. It will be a dream come true for me and for the many families praying for solutions.

Thank you for your time, interest, and support.
